With more than 20 years of experience in administration and 10 years of senior labour involvement, Karen brings a unique and highly desirable blend of skills and abilities to HR pros incorporated. She has worked with large corporations, in British Columbia, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and in both provincial and federal jurisdictions. Karen prides herself on her ability to “get it done”.
While working in the telecom industry, Karen served as a labour relations executive to her local union. Karen has served on a number of employer – employee committees including Health & Safety, Education, and Pay Equity. Karen is an advocate of continuous learning and a dedicated and effective facilitator of training programs; including courses in Assertiveness, Leadership, Shop Steward Training, and Human Rights Advocacy among others.
Since moving to the East Coast in 2002, Karen has worked with several smaller businesses providing administrative management, process and coordination to the Film, IT, Staffing & Recruiting, and Music industries. Karen currently provides bookkeeping and administrative consulting services to small and medium sized businesses in Atlantic Canada and is proud to be working with HR Pros in the role of Labour Relations Specialist.
